How Do I Charge My Electric Car At My Ibiza Holiday Villa?
It's unlikely that your villa rental will have an electric
charging point at the moment
The car rental company will provide a domestic cable with the
electric car
This has a normal plug.
At the villa you will need to have a modern electricity
installation to avoid blowing the fuses (as can happen in older
fincas)
if your holiday villa is a new build then everything should be
OK
Cars charge very slowly so we recommend leaving it plugged in
overnight and definitely not waiting until it's nearly empty. It
probably won't need charging every day but we recommend topping it
up.
You may need an extension lead depending on the distance between
the nearest electric point in the villa to where the car is
parked
Each car's autonomy will be different depending on how it's driven
but on average you will get 200-300 km. When you drive slowly in
town most cars actually charges the battery up a bit so for how
long you can drive will vary but it's more than enough for the
whole day.
The car will be provided as close to full as possible and it must
be returned with at least 50% charge for the next client to be able
to use it.
A second cable is provided so you can use at one of the public spaces; just download an App (such as "Electromaps") and follow the instructions
